Don served in the City of London Police from 1969 to 1995, with specific emphasis on fraud and counter terrorism. He spent four years as Deputy Head of the Fraud Squad and three years in the Operational Support Department. He subsequently joined JPMorgan Chase as a Managing Partner, responsible for International Security Management for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. In 2008, Don was appointed as Head of Security at the Bank of England and in 2013 was appointed as the Bank’s first Chief Information Security Officer to target issues relating to information security, including cyber threats. Don was elected as Chairman of the Global Banks Heads of Security Group in June 2013.
