Paul is Africa advisor to S-RM, specialising in corporate intelligence consultancy and policy research in Sub-Saharan Africa.
He was Nigeria correspondent for the Financial Times in Lagos from 1992 to 1996. He later reported on West African commodities based in Abidjan before moving to Jakarta and Singapore, where he covered Asian news for Reuters until 2003. His most recent posting was in Johannesburg.
Paul is a consultant for the Africa Research Institute in London and chairman of Partner Africa, a non-profit social enterprise.
Paul has a BA in Modern History from Durham University.
