S-RM is seeking a Business Development Executive to work within the Sales and Marketing team in London.

As a Business Development Executive you will provide support to sales and marketing functions with all aspects of the sales cycle, client acquisition, events and management of the data governance within the CRM system. The role will also focus on measurement of Sales Team performance across all regions to help reach future goals. This position is also available in South Africa.

Typical activities and projects are likely to include:

  • Researching prospective clients / leads:
    • Review large repeat clients of S-RM and identify relevant former employees from those clients as potential new targets;
    • Review former clients of S-RM and co-ordinate a systematic process through which we will get back in touch with those firms;
    • Research and develop key industry verticals for the various products offered by S-RM and draw up subsequent target lists.
  • Supporting with the creation of client contracts and proposal paperwork;
  • Contribute to BD strategy discussions;
  • Work with marketing to co-ordinate events and media engagements;
  • Support the sales team with the use of CRM to ensure it is up to date and that it runs smoothly and accurately;
  • Monitor activity of Introducers and Advisors. Ensure the activity is updated in CRM and provide a monthly report to key stakeholders on this his activity;
  • Analyse and report on KPI sales metrics, working with the sales team to provide data and statistics;
  • Support in the production of the key account reports.

The role will be based in our London office. However, we have flexible working arrangements available. We will also consider applications from candidates based in South Africa.

We’re looking for someone with some or all of these skills who can adapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
  • Some experience in an administrative or corporate support function, ideally aligned to sales;
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office with excellent Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Experience with CRM systems, with Zoho or Sales Force experience is beneficial but not essential;
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills;
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; and,
  • A proactive approach and a willingness to work outside the job specification when required.

All candidates must have permission to work in the UK or South Africa by the start of their employment.
