S-RM is looking for an experienced product manager to play a key role in the development of our digital services. This individual will be responsible for managing the development of various internal and client-facing solutions for our Cyber Security business unit.



Reporting into the Head of Digital, the jobholder will act as a business partner to the Cyber Security team, providing product management expertise to ensure that key client-facing and internal products are delivered successfully. The role will require close collaboration with key stakeholders in the Cyber Security team, including technical experts and client-facing engagement leads, as well as external partners and colleagues in other internal departments such as design, marketing, IT and finance.

  • Work with business and technical leaders in the Cyber Security team to document the product roadmap and drive prioritisation decisions
  • Manage the product backlog and refine user stories to an appropriate level of detail to ensure developers deliver the right solution to users
  • Gain a deep understanding of client problems and business processes through data analysis, user interviews, workshops and client meetings
  • Act as a conduit between internal and external technical resources and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Work with the business to document and recommend improvements to core processes
  • Design test cases and perform testing to ensure product quality
  • Actively encourage the adoption of agile and lean product development principles across the business



The qualifications and experience required to perform this role successfully are:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a numerate subject, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in product development roles
  • Experience applying user-centred design, jobs-to-be done or related approaches to deliver successful software products and technologies
  • Grasp of Agile product development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and previous experience working as a product owner and/or scrum master
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with domain knowledge of cyber security, cyber incident response or digital forensics.

The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment.
