We are seeking a Senior Associate to join the Russia CIS team within the company’s Corporate Intelligence division in London.


The successful candidate for the Senior Associate role will play an important part in the development of S-RM’s fast-growing Russia CIS team. The candidate will report into the regional head and will be involved in numerous areas of the management of the team personnel and casework, including:

  • Managing open source and human source-led due diligence investigations;
  • Editing reports and providing constructive feedback;
  • Training, development and line management of more junior members of the team, likely including both analysts and case managers;
  • Preparing proposals for new business;
  • Analysing human source material and supporting the development of S-RM’s human source network; and;
  • Presenting to clients.

The role will be based in our London office


The qualifications and experience required to perform this role successfully are:

  • Professional working proficiency in Russian;
  • As a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree (2.1 or higher) or equivalent. A Master’s degree is preferable;
  • At least three years’ experience working in corporate intelligence, preferably with a focus on Russia and the Former Soviet Union;
  • Minimum of at least 6 months’ experience working in Russia or the Former Soviet Union in a consulting capacity is required;
  • Demonstrable experience of directing others in a project management capacity;
  • The individual will need to be an accredited UK Counter Fraud Specialist;
  • A detailed knowledge of the compliance risks associated with Russia and the Former Soviet Union, such as money laundering, bribery and corruption, and international sanctions;
  • Demonstrable experience planning and organising projects across the corporate intelligence spectrum, including due diligence investigations and asset tracing;
  • Experience using third-party risk databases such as corporate registries and media aggregators in Russia and the Former Soviet Union;
  • Significant experience interacting with and presenting to a range of clients;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • Excellent research and investigative skills;
  • Relevant experience managing others; and
  • An advanced knowledge of financial and commercial concepts.
