The Lead Developer will work closely with the Digital and IT teams to develop and support a suite of applications to support our Cyber Security and Corporate Intelligence practitioners.

  • Work in a cross-functional team alongside members of the product/engineering team to design and deliver solutions that meet business needs
  • Contribute to the design and devleopment of new products and services for our Cyber Security division and the continued development of solutions for our Corporate Intelligence division
  • Build a close working relationship with Internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure solutions are robust, secure and scalable
  • Manage automated lifecycle operations including build, test, integration and deployment pipelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop best practices for web application development and systems integrations across the business
  • Contribute to ‘build or buy’ decisions regarding technology selection
  • Assist in the recruitment and mentoring of junior colleagues


The role will be based in our London office, however we have flexible working arrangements available.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree level education in a computer science, maths or related numerate subject, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years’ engineering experience in an enterprise software development environment, using object-oriented programming languages (i.e. C#, Java, Golang, Python) and web development frameworks
  • Experience of developing solutions using cloud providers, with a preference given to candidates who are familiar with AWS
  • Demonstrable experience of developing microservice solutions
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, preferably ReactJS
  • Experience with Search technologies such as ElasticSearch or Solr would also be desirable
  • Knowledge of and interest in secure development practices and cyber security
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience hiring, managing and mentoring junior developers

The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment.
