The Video Editor is responsible for creating, producing and editing high-quality video and multimedia content for our digital marketing channels and internal company use.

The successful candidate will work as a strategic partner with the Marketing, Design, and client-facing teams across the business to innovate, conceptualise, design and bring a range of multimedia projects to life.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead on the creative approach and execution of promotional campaigns, thought-leadership pieces, and internal communications projects.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to develop original content and concepts
  • Create the script, storyboard, project plan and format for each multimedia project, including allocation of resources.
  • Create multimedia (audio/video) video content for multi-platform use and distribution including online and social media channels (YouTube and LinkedIn)
  • Film, edit and organise video footage and audio files for a diverse range of video projects
  • Create and edit motion graphics.
  • Managing and archiving all media assets.

The role will be based in our Cape Town office; however we have flexible working arrangements available.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a video producer and editor, working across multiple clients and projects;
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with digital technology and editing software packages of multimedia tools (Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere);
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines and manage a multiple requests and stakeholders;
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills;
  • Experience and knowledge of digital marketing practices;
  • Knowledge of, and an interest in industry trends;
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • A degree or diploma in film studies, cinematography or related field would be beneficial

The successful candidate must have permission to work in South Africa by the start of their employment.
