Providing our people with the tools for learning

The Academy provides a framework for every team member to learn and take ownership of their growth.

S-RM Foundations

S-RM Foundations is a week-long welcome to the business. Undertaken by new starters regardless of role, office or grade, we enable you to build your network and gain the skills you need to succeed in your future role.

Leadership Development

We offer 1-1 development conversations to all our leaders, whether they lead teams, practice areas or technical specialisms. We also host events to invest in our leaders, such as our Associate Conference.

Technical Development

Led by your team or business unit, Technical Development at the Academy equips you with the technical skills needed to succeed, tailored to your role. We enable you to continue developing these skills throughout your career, as you specialise in a particular area, seek to become a subject matter expert or build additional commercial skillsets.

S-RM Managers

S-RM prides itself on providing development opportunities to its people and for many this will mean a transition into a people management role, often for the very first time. S-RM Managers exists to support you in this vital career transition. The programme consists of a week-long classroom event, followed by a series of interactive training modules, staggered throughout your first year as a manager, to allow you to put into practice what you’ve learnt alongside a cohort of supportive peers.

Sharper Learning

Sharper Learning is our on-demand learning programme which ensures that teams and individuals can access the training and resources they need, wherever they are in the world, and at times that suit them.

I felt so well supported and welcomed by everyone… The human element of S-RM is why I chose the company over other job offers. My hopes that this would be a supportive, interesting and dynamic place to work turned into reality.

I can’t thank you enough for the positive start you’ve made to so many people’s careers here!

This course has really helped me focus on some of the most important aspects of being a manager and has given me great keys on how to help develop and coach and contribute to the success of my direct reports and overall team.

The event was exciting, impactful, and helped me build new relationships within S-RM that I now leverage regularly to support our clients.

Associate Conference: Enabling leadership development for our team

In February 2023 we brought together more than 100 of our Associate and Senior Associate-level colleagues in London to celebrate their achievements and invest in our future leaders. We were joined by our Executive Committee (ExCo), leaders from our international offices, and a panel of clients, who all shared their experience and advice.

Sessions included a specially-designed business simulation game to help delegates better understand our strategic priorities; ExCo shared insights into their leadership styles to help delegates on their leadership development journey; and our international office heads helped delegates build global perspectives on their roles at S-RM.
