Carles Casajuana is a former Spanish diplomat with more than 30 years experience.
He was the Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2008 to 2012. Previously he served as Chief Foreign Policy Advisor to the Spanish President, Ambassador to the Political and Security Committee of the European Union and Ambassador to Malaysia. He currently works as a private consultant for foreign investment in Spain. Member of the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences, of the board of the NGO Alianza por la Solidaridad and of the board of the European NGO network SOLIDAR. He teaches Diplomacy and International Relations at the Ramon Llull university. He is a writer and a regular contributor to the leading Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia.
