The context needed to make accurate and swift decisions

We go beyond ‘tick box’ due diligence.

  • We are specialists in contextualising the indicators of corruption, financial crime, sanctions exposure and identity fraud.
  • We have the research tools, human source networks and analytical ability required to work across fragile and informal economies, and in jurisdictions where information is hard to access and understand.
  • We are well placed to advise you on key emerging trends pertinent to the citizenship and residency by investment space.

Client service and innovation at our heart

Our team offers exceptional client service:

  • Our regional and sectoral experts run regular face-to-face training sessions and remote workshops, helping clients delve deeper into the context behind the issues we regularly report on.
  • Our in-depth presentations and follow-up discussions support complex decision-making.
  • We leverage proprietary technology, such as our secure online reporting portal, to ensure our clients can share and receive information from us securely and are up-to-date on the progress of our work. We also provide continuous media monitoring, so clients are aware of red flags as they emerge, even after our report has been delivered.

Case study

Source of wealth assessment in the Arabian Gulf

S-RM were engaged to investigate the probity of a candidate for citizenship-by-investment who reported his source of wealth to be inheritance from his father and to be a full-time student in Dubai. Through multilingual open source research we established that the candidate was enrolled at an institution that required no physical presence. We then established – through corporate record research and targeted human source enquiries – that the candidate beneficially owned a transportation group nominally held by a close relative. This undisclosed company had been involved in Brazilian employment tribunals following allegations of poor labour practices and had operations in Syria, where sanctions are in force. Our report provided our client with a detailed assessment of these issues to support their decision-making.

The level of client support and quality workmanship that I have encountered is well beyond some other service providers.
